ok, since our schedules are a bit whacked, let's do ST meeting on here. Further, let's meet up as early as possible on Friday and do one then before game.
what are we running on Friday?
i think i'm gonna pass word to, like, the one Black Hand guy still in the city about the Tremere alchemist. if there are no BH guys, i'll have someone get an anonymous tip.
what else we got?

I'll get a big write up of stuff when I'm finished up with some stuff here, but I know the Nameless want to get a bunch of Ritae together, and try for a fairly large RP session, so we should let them take a shot and wielding that together.
Keep the scenes available for the people not interested/bored with the RP.
Anyway, more (a lot) to come later

Ok, here goes.
First off, the scene's I've run this week.
Jacob and Tony finished off their exploration of the Tremere Chantry in Essex (they didn't finish exploring the entire locale actually, still a couple rooms unknown to them) and pulled an apparent ancient out of torpor there. I said apparent for a reason btw. The story behind the ancient is one of the Salubri ancients whom had infertile vitae eventually took an apprentice when he found someone he thought was worthy of passing his knowledge and power onto, and in the Salubri way, taught him, and then had him Diablerize the Salubri. (Thats how the main clan Salubri pass along their knowledge to their childer) Unfortunately for the Ventrue, the act of taking in such a powerful and willful creature was a bit too much for him, and the personality of the Salubri took over the personality of the Ventrue, and he now believes he is Shiatan, a Salubri Methusela. While he is powerful, and an elder in his own right, he is NOT a Methusela. While he was still disoriented by his condition, he was exposed to the Tremere as an ancient Salubri, and they rounded him up. After examination/interrogation what was really going on was discovered and he wasn't quite the prize they thought he would be, but he was still a valuable, though dangerous and hard to keep, resource. He is currently in Red Wings stadium, though he has been making himself familiar with the city. Robert, and thus the Archbishop and likely Church has been informed that he is there, and that something about his "ancient" story doesn't ring quite true. If Alan's character every hears the name he uses, he will recognize it from his time with the Salubri.
Next the Nameless
The nameless got to finish their scene despite not showing up for the original scheduled goodness (above). So that they could still do something, I had them and Jacob split up (though unplanned) and they explored 1 of the 2 unexplored tunnels under the chantry. (1 tunnel remains completely unexplored) This one led to a Gargoyle feeding/holding pen, where the Tremere (in keeping with our research Tremere theme in this area) had been performing experiments on their Gargoyle servants attempting to find a way to regain control over any of the unbound Gargoyles. When the Tremere left the chantry behind, they took their most important works with them, but left behind four guardian Gargoyles, which the Nameless tangled with but were unable to take down. They actually lost the one that they had previously captured with Jacob and Tony.
Last but not least, Opus X, the Bad News Bears, Camille and Silky got together to attempt to do some work in Toledo. Per Vito, Bonaparte had some information for Jack Loveless, as well as some heated words about subtlety with the influence actions, since none of them used any Stealth on their influence researching the city. Bonaparte, working through one of the Toreador in 99 Problems gave Jack a tongue lashing and a folder containing some sparse information about 3 strongly suspected vampires. A businessman (Marcus), a street thug (Manuel), and a club socialite, named Ebony. They only had a good location for the clubber, so they decided to try to take him alive, spent an hour coming up with a plan that they didn't follow at all, and eventually just started breaking things and people. They expected a Toreador, so thought the fight would be fast and furious and over real damn quick. But he was a sneaky Setite instead, so the fight ended up being a long drawn out affair with them trying to deal with his Majesty and Obfuscate while he tried to escape. They finally managed to capture him literally one action away from escape, and made their getaway, leaving the club wrecked behind them. They haven't yet figured a way to wake him from Torpor (he's 10th gen so they need a 7th gen vamp to wake him) so they haven't been able to do any investigation.
The dossier that Bonaparte gave Jack included a suspected 7 other vampires in the city beyond the ones that were described above, but no additional details were provided other then VERY rough descriptions (i.e. Male, apparent age 30, approximately six foot, brown hair). Bonbon will probably have more information after observing the reaction to this attack with Co99 and 99 problems. Not sure if he would chose to share yet, until they have more concrete information. Unfortunately, the recent breakup of Opus X has destroyed their ability to be subtle, and with unsubtle weapons, you don't give them more information then they need for the immediate action.

Rules questions
Bashing damage - LoTN both has bashing damage reduced when applied to a vampire, AND allows you to heal it at double rates. We need to pick one or the other of those. Do we want to continue it being both, or one or the other?
Guns and Damage - LoTN list guns doing lethal damage, not bashing. We have been doing them bashing, did we make that change officially, or as an oversight?
Blood - How are we handling it? From everything I know, it should be reflexive, used pretty much any time during the round other then to enact a power that requires an action.
Shadowcrafting - Paul (Lucas) would like to use for abyssal rituals. They can be found at Guide to the High Clans Pg 176. I told that until we make a ruling AND I have time to write up Larp translations, not to buy it.
Aimed shots - Best way to handle Aimed shots that I have ever seen are included in the Thanatosis discipline. Aimed shots require 2 easy (win or tie) simple tests to him the specific location. If you fail, you miss entirely and your shot was wasted. Aiming at the head requires 2 hard simple tests (win only). If you fail, you miss entirely and your shot was wasted.
Simple test for staking or other "result" tests, (high caliber, aimed shots) can not be retested with melee, firearms, brawl, might, luck or any other retest.
Vozhed - I'll put everything for the Nameless under it's own heading actually.

Nameless stuff
Paul and the nameless have been telling me about a lot of what they have done with various ST's and I think we need to confirm and codify what they actually have, because they are trying to do a LOT. They have asked to get a hard and fast list going of what they actually have so they can plan their stuff around it rather then planning and having their plans yanked out from under them.
Vozhed - They want to have their Vozhed able to make Vis mods on people giving them extra vis mods per downtime. I'm ok with this to the rate of an extra 3 per DT (level 6 ritual)
Blood - They seem to be under the impression that they have an unlimited blood supply. I have yet to hear a reasonable reason for this however.
Magical treasures from their background - I was told they have a excape to true friend room in their haven. Two things wrong about this, first off, escape to true friend allows the caster to teleport to the person whose friendship he most values. Not teleport to anyone they wish. Second, none of them have that ritual. They explained that away because they wrote up it and many other magical treasures in their background. Writing up a background should NOT give them a bunch of things for free. Thats why we give points for Alpha and Beta status, so they can BUY the things in their backgrounds. As it stands, I wouldn't want to take this away carte blanche, but rather RP it away with some troubles in their Haven.
Fear spirit amulets - The powers they told me their amulets have are Icey chill of despair (area effect dread gaze) and true fear (dread gaze), usable 1/night. These amulets along with any other magic item they carried would have been neutralized when they came onto the Esbat. However, I don't know how it was created in the first place so I want to confirm.
Magical creation item - Paul said that he had an item that allows him to craft magical items. He doesn't have any more information then that however, so whats up with it?
