Robert smiles and waves a placating hand at Devon's reaction to his offer, and continues tapping away at his phone.
"I intend only investigation at this point, I simply need to understand a bit more about the affliction you and a few others in the city suffer under."

Camille's attention snaps back to the conversation between Rob and Devon.
"Affliction? Like what? Are we talking about the ears or something else? I've been having some terrible nightmares lately, like nothing I've ever experienced. Is that the kind of affliction you're talking about?"
She seems a bit twitchy and her eyes keep darting to the shadows.

"No, we are not talking about bad dreams."

As Robert, Devon and Camille begin discussing this new topic, Jack gazes about the room for a moment, then focuses on Devon for several long moments. He then shifts his gaze to Camille, scrutinizing. After studying her, he looks back over at Devon again for long seconds. Seeming satisfied, Jack addresses them.
"I believe I might be able to offer some insight into the matter. However, I think it would be unwise to discuss it outloud." He taps the index and middle finger of his left hand to his forehead several times, and looks at them expectantly, raising his eyebrows with a questioning expression.

Robert shrugs. "I will not be discussing matters between Devon and myself with you, speaking out loud, via texting, or any other way. I leave it up to Devon to either share the information with you, or not."

After a moment of shaking his head, Devon looks up at the woman and lets out a slight chuckle. His ears keep twitching as he looks over to the new participant in the conversation. Cocking his head to the side, he looks a little puzzled. After another brief moment, his head returns to a normal position, while kicking his foot up to rest against the wall.
"I am not one to keep secrets from any member of this city. Too many lives have been lost because of secrets that needed to be kept, or because they couldn't keep them in some cases. Its all in a matter of trusting those around you, though with whats been going on in this city, that trust is hard to give. Tell me, what do you think this is..."[/i]
Devon's head quickly turns to his right, away from the rest of the attendants and begins to speak.
"Get the fuck out of my head..."[/i]

Jack nods in understanding at Devon's outburst and shrugs. "I can understand why you would say that. There are, in fact, two somethings that are no doubt crawling around in your head. Ghosts, to be specific. Two on you and one on Camille. All answering to a necromancer of our kind. Giovanni, Samedi, or something else entirely. I have yet to establish their identity, or even their gender. One of the ghosts plaguing you has a personal grudge against you. Apparently you tore them to pieces at some point in the past and so they are taking a particular enjoyment in this assignment. The other one has thus far proven resistent to my probing, but if you wish I can pursue this matter further. Whom did you two upset that either is or knows a necromancer?"

Camille looks at no one in particular and with a knowing smile says...
"Ah, so you're seeing them too. Well, that's just great. Since Devon here seems to think we shouldn't keep secrets from any member of this city, I'll fill you all in. Our pack, back when it was the "Scarlet Sentinels", dispatched the Giovanni in the city, was easier than I thought it would be, though we did do a few weeks of careful planning. Unlike some in this city we don't go parading our successes around to get status and such, we deal with it quietly and move on to the next target. It appears that no good deed goes unpunished and that the consequences from our actions have come to haunt us. No pun intended."
She looks at Jack with some interest.
"Pray tell, what can you do about our predicament?"

Jack considers for a moment before responding. "Perhaps. Either we can find another necromancer to deal with the problem, or we can track down the one that has plagued you both. Those are the most immediate solutions that come to mind."
